Head space

' Those are dark clouds said the boy. 'Yes they will move on' Said the house-  Charlie Mackesy  As we start the new government restrictions it is really important to look after our wellbeing and mental health. This might start to feel more difficult as the evenings get darker but there is plenty for you to do inside that will support your wellbeing. Head space is a great app for this that you can download onto your phone to give you some space at the start of the end of the day. There is cost but you can get a free trail to see if you like it first. Some of you might want to use this time to start making some handmade presents as for Christmas or just to show someone that are thinking about them. We would like to challenge you over the next 30 days to...

The Duchess of Cambridge online assembly on mental health

Image
The Duchess of Cambridge to lead assembly on kindness Place2Be’s royal patron HRH The Duchess of Cambridge will lead an online assembly for the Oak National Academy today (Thursday 18 June), during which she will speak about the importance of children's mental wellbeing. The theme of The Duchess’ assembly is ‘spread a little kindness’  The Duchess will say:  “Talking to someone, whether it’s a friend, family member, or teacher, is something you can do to make yourself feel that little bit better. And you can also play your part in helping others to feel better too, whether offering a friendly ear, or helping someone in need. Small acts of kindness can go such a long way. But as we help others, we mustn’t forget to nurture ourselves, by taking the time to focus on the things that make us feel happy too.” The link for the assembly will be found here:  https://classroom.thenational.academy/assemblies/ Tip for parents home schooling is now available here:  https://thomas...
